Had trigger finger & CTS surgery
Post Body

I’m sharing this in case it’s helpful for others:

At day 9, it’s getting better. The first few days were really tough and I needed my pain killers but after day 4, I stopped using them and took the 800g of ibuprofen instead. It also didn’t help that I travelled for work conferences on days 3, 6, & 8. There’s still a bit of swelling but it’s done down a lot.

I still forget about movements that I shouldn’t do but my hand and wrist reminds me.

Why I got surgery: • I had two injections for my trigger finger already and they didn’t last. I was advised that 2-3 is the max they’ll do. My finger was locking up and there was a hard bump (the flexor tendon. I believe), that was getting stuck.

• I had moderate carpal tunnel. I’ve been in physical therapy for it but it didn’t open the tunnel up & had the EMG done to confirm CT.

If I had just the CT surgery done, I think I would have felt better sooner.

I hope this helps someone!
