Why are so many people anti-counting macros?
Post Body

I’ve seen sooooo many replies to people asking about weight loss or weight gain saying “don’t count calories” or “just eat till you’re satisfied”.

Or another one, when people are constipated or have diarrhoea…. The response is increase or decrease your fat intake. How are they meant to do that without knowing how much fat they are eating?

To me, that’s absolutely bizarre.

I was constipated for the first 2 weeks, I increased my total fat intake by 4% and it was perfect.

It literally took my less then 5 minutes to work out my meal sizes, calories, fat intake, and takes me 2 minutes to adjust every few weeks if I need.

If you have a goal, you need to have data points that you can adjust to ensure that the desired outcome is produced.
