So I recently started the carnivore diet and so far no bad side effects. I am only eating till satiated but my caloric intake is kind of concerning me. I am 6’1 200lbs and typically would eat around 2000-2500 calories a day. However I am currently only consuming about 1000-1500 calories per day. I understand carnivore does not focus on calories but previously on this diet I lost some muscle and want to avoid this. Is the best way to just focus on eating high protein and forgo my stigma with calories ?
