Lack of hunger = low calories
Post Body

Iā€™ve read on here that not being hungry is a normal thing on carnivore and to eat when you are hungry. I love not being ruled by hunger and cravings. My concern however is Iā€™m eating very little calories. I (edit: naturally and for many years) IF and my natural eating window is usually 12-6pm. When I start eating my meal, most of the time I cannot even finish. Sometimes I can only do a few bites before my throat is literally like ā€œnopeā€ when I try to swallow. While Iā€™m not hungry I do get kind of that ā€œI should probably eatā€ kind of headache/mood/dizziness. I want to listen to my body though a little confused. Please let me know your thoughts/experience:

Iā€™m on day 13 of strict carnivore. I am averaging 700-800 calories a day over the course of the 13 days. I mostly eat grass fed beef (roasts, ribeye, tri tip, London broil, ground beef), and also have wild caught fatty fish and bacon. I cook with beef tallow, duck fat and supplementing with organ meats capsules. Iā€™m super on top of my electrolytes.

Iā€™m currently sipping bone broth with some melted fat and sea salts.

Edit: thought it pretty crucial to mention that it is recommended I eat at around 1200 calories a day.

My appetite was all over the place when I started . I made sure I was getting high quality nutrient dense meat and fats. Eventually the appetite stabilized. I avoided low quality meat. I actually had the opposite issue when I started. I put on 25 lbs and couldnā€™t satiate myself. Then it just changed one day.

It was the fat intake. I ate a lot of grass finished fat like suet and trimmings. I mean a ton. Eventually I fasted for a day or two and then I just didnā€™t want as much. I find that the fat amounts act as a weight lever. The more I want to gain , the more fat I eat. The more I want to lose the less fat. Protein remains around the same. I donā€™t manipulate my body too much.
