possible to ask for lower price for a car?
Post Body

So, I realize the whole point of CarMax is that there is no negotiation needed or "haggling" However I thought I'd ask here to see if there is any way to lower the price of a car.

So there is a used EV tax credit of $4,000 if the car is 2021 or older and $25,000 and under.

However, the car I was interested in purchasing is a 2020 Chevy bolt with a price tag of $25,900 which is $900 over the limit to qualify for a used EV tax rebate.

I was wondering if there is any possible method to somehow lower the price for this car in Carmax. so that is $25,000 and under

Or can I pay like cash of for example $1,000 and have the paper be shown that car was sold for $24,900?
