What should I expect in the process? I have an online quote that expired today, I couldn’t bring myself to do it yet (selling out of necessity, insurance getting too expensive, but no back up transpo do I can’t park it). Do they issue a paper check that day? I know it’s subject to mechanical examination, but it runs fine, just needs 3 new tires & a dent in the front fender popped out (which I may try to do before taking it in). Would it increase the payout if I have it detailed professionally first?
If they are too far off the quote, I’ll decline the sale & sell privately. I don’t imagine they are hurting as much got used cars as they were a few months ago.
Edit: should I also spring for “new” tires with more tread? It would be about $120 for 3.
