Just some background, I’m young, have a pretty large lump of money, and some time. My buddy is pretty good mechanically and has swapped a few engines. I proposed flipping mechanic special vehicles to him and we decided to try it. I’m gonna buy the vehicles & parts, he’s gonna do the labor.
There is a 2001 F250 crewcab lariat with 134k miles but a bad 6.8l v10. He says everything else is good on the truck, some light hail damage. I can get it for $1500.
Anyway, I am not even sure if this is the right subreddit, but I just wanna see what people think. Is there something I’m not seeing? If we plop a new motor in shouldn’t the truck be 10k easily?
