Im currently driving a 2013 Honda civic coupe EX with 227,000km or about 141,000miles for my American friends. It’s the Canadian version so it came with the sunroof and other options that I believe usually only came with the LX. Anyway I want to start flipping cars and know how to do some light mechanic work of my own as well as exterior and interior detail. Since my civic has a higher mileage I’m worried some things are going to start going wrong thus putting me in the position I am. Recently I’ve changed the break pads and rotors as well as the spark plugs and maf sensor. What really got my attention is while changing the maf sensor I noticed a tear in the rubber intake hose after the filter box and before going into the engine. Im assuming this means that little rocks or dust or water could be getting into my engine. So I’m looking for a little advice on whether to repair this small fix and keep my car with the knowledge more things could go wrong soon or fix it and then sell which kicks of my car flipping journey.
Also I bought this from my dad for $7500 CAD or roughly $5.8k usd and they sell with my current mileage for $9.5k-$10.5k CAD or $6.9k-$7.7k USD on marketplace locally.
