Hello, I am searching for information on how I can become a paid caregiver for my grandmother in Florida. I manage her medication, prepare her meals, assist with getting in and out of bed, as well as many other needs she has as a 85 year old. She has Medicaid and is insured by Care plus. Who do I contact to start this process? Her primary care or another agency? Are there forms or other documentation I need to fill out as of now to make it easier and faster to start this process? This has been a role I have played for many years already, there hasn't been any new conditions with the exception of having some tumors removed from her bladder that were non cancerous but I until I didn't know that this is something me or even my mother (her daughter) could be compensated for since this has come naturally for us and has been a routine that we have had for years. Now that my grandmother has become 85 we have had to adjust our level care to keep up with her needs as she ages. If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me information on how to get started or who to contact in the state of Florida I would very much appreciate it and be very grateful for. Thank you so much and to those out there who have made it a priority to assist those in need of care I hope you are having doing well and having a good day today :)
