Hi everyone!
As the title suggests (and to provide a bit of context), I'm currently in the midst of studying for my Bachelors in History (I just got my results for my second year so I'll be moving into my third year in September) with the eventual aim of (hopefully) changing careers (I'm working in manufacturing at the moment but i am looking to move into something possibly related to historical research or research in general, archival work or, if i'm very lucky, into the heritage/museum sector); sectors which, I'll admit, I don't have much or any experience in given the sector I've been working in for the past few years (hence why I'm looking at internships)
For any of the mature students who gained internships here, did you find a lack of experience hindered you in your search for internships? I have been applying to internships in the aforementioned areas and have tried to put forward the skills I do have (time and/or people management, organisation etc.) but is there more I could do? Something I may have missed?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated and I'm looking forward to any suggestions!
