Post Body

So i was offered an opportunity to become a watchmaker through a watch company (idk if i can say the name) but they told me it was gonna be a 2 year program, certification upon completion, and trained by a rolex instructor. A week into the program the rolex instructor leaves having taught us disassembly and reassembly and the rest of the teaching was left to the team leaders of the watch company. 2 months into the program were being forced to produce for the company and not much education was being taught. I do enjoy this and have built a good foundation on watchmaking and theory but for what were being paid its unreasonable. So far its been a year and i have confidence that i can fix about any rolex specifically the 31XX series. From my research about watchmaker salary theres not much upside even tho to service a rolex cost a lot of money and its a in-demand job. Im seeking advice from any watchmaker or anybody knowledgeable of the industry to understand a little more about the industry and its potential if there is one.
