Taking a step down from Management?
Post Body

Hey guys, I'm a person that has been managing hotels for the last 5 years with almost a decade in hotel jobs, and I'm sort of tired of the managing aspect of it. Long hours, coming in on off days, and just the general BS. I get paid decently, but I kinda miss the carefree days when I made about half as much but did a lot more with my life. Being a front desk agent can be tough and thankless but at least it's not very draining emotionally or physically.

I'm not a person that needs a ton of material goods or anything, but am I crazy for wanting to step into something more mundane and easy and get paid less? Obviously I don't want to get paid ridiculously less, but I'm finding my real life too bogged down by my work life. We are talking about going 80k to 50k. There are a couple jobs that are in my view; like a union concierge job for 25 dollars an hour or a remote reservations manager for 28. However I'm also finding some really random ones like customer success at a live music event start up or admin assistant at a law office.
