I feel like in one moment I think I want to transition into HR and I make strides in doing so (reaching out to people in my company, working on culture team, being a lead for the Wellness ERG group) but then I get so discouraged because there are no openings at my current company. Weāre a fast growing startup but the HR team is essentially already built for the time being.
When I talk to people in HR at my company, they make it seem like itās really hard to transition. My company has made an announcement that they are going to be making efforts for career growth but it seems so far fetched.
Then, even if I get a glimpse of āthis is possibleā I start thinking itās not again. And Iām just so sick of horrible pay and horrible daily life in customer service.
Should I look towards other functions to grow in? At this point I donāt even know what else Iād be interested in. Reference: I am 1.5 years into this company. Our CX team started at 8 people now itās at 45.
