I was terminated a little over a year ago and immediately tried finding another job. I found a temp job 2 months later... and finally another temp job 9 or 10 months after that which wasn’t toxic.

Anyway, I have now been with the new place since August (about 4 months). I work beyond full-time hours. But everyone at my level is temp, even the girl that’s been there over a year.

However, my COBRA insurance ends in April and I need to have insurance after that for necessary surgeries etc. I also REALLY like the work I do and the people on my team.

How do I ask for them to hire me directly/permanently? Should I mention I need insurance for medically necessary stuff? How do I find out if they plan to perm hire any of us at my level?
