I'm about to start a job in early February but I have a vacation planned for May. It is mostly paid for already and the plane tickets are non refundable. Obviously I bought all this before the job offer.
I talked to the HR woman and she said it was fine but I haven't spoken to the woman who will be my supervisor yet. How would I bring that up to her? Is it likely she would say something different from the woman in HR and order me to cancel the vacation?
PS Thanks for all the advice! It looks like I have lots to look forward to. I'm thinking lunch at the eiffel tower to celebrate!
