Hey everyone,
I really love my job and have been with the company for 4 1/2 years. I see myself staying here for a long time, but I’m feeling a bit stuck right now. For over a year, I’ve been promised a promotion that I’m excited about, but it’s been delayed due to budget cuts. The thing is, I’m basically already doing the role that the promotion would involve, but I’m not getting paid for it.
My manager is supportive and wants me to get the promotion, but it seems like their hands are tied due to the company’s financial situation. I completely understand the reason behind it, but it’s frustrating to feel like I’m putting in the extra effort without any reward.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you handle it, and what advice would you give in a situation like this?
