Feeling Burnt Out as a College Counseling Center Director in My Mid-40s – Seeking Advice on Career Transition with $110k+ Earning Potential?

Post Body

Hello Career Guidance Community,

I’m currently in my mid-40s and have been working as a College Counseling Center Director for several years, as well as disabilities services in higher ed. While I’ve found the work fulfilling in many ways, I’m feeling increasingly burnt out and am considering a career change. I’m particularly interested in exploring roles that allow me to leverage my skills in leadership, counseling, program development, and data analysis while aiming for an earning potential of at least $110k per year.

I’m open to different industries and job functions but would love to hear suggestions on career paths that might be a good fit for someone with my background. I’m also curious about any strategies or certifications that could help me make a successful transition. Has anyone made a similar shift, or does anyone have insights on where I could channel my experience and skill set into a new, rewarding role?

Thanks in advance for your advice and guidance!
