My first job was a lab tech at a company that sells water systems and my second was a data entry specialist at a telecommunications company. I went back to get a masters to try to break out of this rut but I’m failing. I’m 26 and I’m still stuck. Many of my peers are making six figures in tech and medicine. I feel like a failure.
I can’t ask my parents for advice because they are uneducated immigrants and don’t understand any of this stuff so I’m just winging all of this on my own.
Can anyone give me advice? At this point, I don’t even care what work I do, I just don’t want to get stuck making a low wage for the rest of my life.
