Lube tech or utility locator
I’m 18 and had to drop out of college that I was going to for mechanical engineering. I work at a Chevy dealership currently at 17 an hour and have been here since February. There’s opportunities for advancement and education through the dealership if effort is put in in my side to get there. There is also opportunities for more money if I get my fundamental learning done and then I would be around 18 an hour plus 6 flat rate no over time.( I currently get a few hours overtime every week and it makes a bit of a difference. I have a friend who works as a utility locator at 20 an hour plus 10-15 hours overtime every week and get a company truck and gas card for it as well. I’m just wondering what you guys are thinking and should I try to make this change or stick it through and get more learning done so I can make more money as a tech
