My biggest question is how do you find your passion or a job/career that covers your cost of living while keeping you sane?
I'm a 30m living in Arkansas. I never sought any higher education outside of high school for a few reasons, mostly just not having any clue what so ever I would want to do and having little to no outside forces really influencing or inspiring me to be anything but a 9-5er. My dad was a labor hand on an agricultural farm until he worked himself disabled, and my mother was in the nursing home biz in various roles until she came into health conditions that limit her ability to work. That not really the future I want for myself.
I found myself stuck in manual labor jobs that I'm not very passionate about. Most of which has been some sort of Landscaping or Lawncare and I'm now starting to enter a serious burnout phase of feeling so unfulfilled in my job. Most days after work I'm so tired I don't want to do anything but be a potato when I get home, and the days I'm off early and home with time to kill I feel like I should be doing "more" with myself besides making a reputable lawn company hundreds of thousands of dollars. I only make around $55k annually, so it isn't like I have it -made- I'm just stuck at not really being able to take a big pay reduction..
I have 10k in credit card debt, resulting in a less than awesome credit score, so I'm not sure that I would even be considered for student loans, and if I were to be approved I still cant really think of any courses, careers or paths that make me feel like jumping into 4 year and and unknown amount of debt for..
