Engineering's one of those industries where the more you know the more you earn, and it's hard to progress upwards without certain qualifications. Without a full degree and without a charter in engineering what would you say is the realistic highest someone could earn by being an engineering in any field (mechanical, electrical, etc)
Context: 7 years experience in engineering doing hands on work with military, only have up to a HND no degree. Tired of studying and don't want to go to university/study more for a full degree. How much would this hinder my salary potential / opportunities.
Can't speak for outside the US, but inside the US, you may be able to get a job doing CAD work but I don't think you'll get a job in engineering without a degree otherwise. Your salary would be severely hindered in my opinion.
