I'm currently an apprentice electrician (I didnt want to go to college even though I qualified for several scholarships), but I'm not sure it's for me. The opportunities are good, but I don't really enjoy it. However, there's bit really anything sustainable that interests me. I want to have a wife and 2 kids, but if I were to do a job I enjoy, I wouldn't earn enough to support a family of that size. The other thing is that I've put a lot of time and effort into my current job and it would all be for nothing if I quit. I've entertained the idea of being a sahd, but that requires me to find a wife who wants to work and earn the money for our family, which is rare. I'm only 18, but I'd like to be able to get off my feet and earn enough to have a family in the future. My parents aren't really sure how to help and I'm super stressed out, so I thought I'd look here.
