I'm an operations manager for a small business specializing in low voltage systems installations and other tech-related services, I handle a multitude of tasks due to our team size of 8-9 employees. My daily responsibilities range from marketing and customer support to product development and hands-on installation work. I've found that utilizing GPT technologies significantly boosts my efficiency, allowing me to manage these diverse duties effectively.
I have held my position for over a year now:
Role: Operations Manager
Industry: Technology and Installations
Skills: Marketing, sales, customer support, product development, installation, idea generation, and strategic planning, accounts receivables and ordering and aged a/r collection.
Technical Expertise: Trained in electronics engineering technology, holding a BA in physical geography. Proficient in Atmel microcontroller coding and Python, with a broad understanding of STEM concepts.
Specialization: Advanced use of AI tools, including meta-prompting techniques for enhanced productivity and innovation.
I'm curious about the market demand for "prompt engineers" or similar roles that leverage advanced AI tool utilization skills, coupled with a technical background. Despite my limited programming expertise, I'm adept at learning new concepts and applying them effectively.
Are companies actively seeking individuals with specialized skills in AI tool utilization, particularly in roles that might not traditionally require extensive programming knowledge?
Given my background and skill set, what salary range should I expect if I were to consider opportunities, especially in Canada, CA, or the US?
How can I best position myself to attract potential employers, considering my unique blend of technical knowledge and AI tool application skills?
I'm deeply invested in my current company's success, involved in everything from making strategic decisions to HR responsibilities, including drafting workplace policies using GPT.
I need to have my staff working as harmoniously as possible. Drama is the enemy of productivity and happiness and recognition along with possibility of upwards mobility are key to keeping stable, reliable long term staff. While not actively looking to move, I'm open to exploring opportunities that recognize the value of my diverse skill set and offer the right incentives.
Thanks for reading.
