Greetings,
I live in the US, and am 27M
I am a BSN RN, finishing up the last class of an MBA with a secondary focus on IT security and assurance, and I have a broad working history across: an engine development lab, food service, emergency medicine, home health case management (current), ICU, a farm hand, and a school program supervisor.
Separately, I'm teaching myself computer science principles and Python programming (following along some free harvard courses), and I've found it all to be a delightful challenge.
My actual, long-term careers goals are: to work in a field with a lot to learn forever (I get bored of doing the exact same thing within about 6 months), to move around or work in a job that has some variety in working environments, and to break completely away from bedside care.
I'm very agreeable to remaining in healthcare, or adjacent, especially for my next job or two, just not patient bedside. Teaching is a joy, especially mentoring and patient education, but I'm hoping to bundle this into a different sort of job where I'd get to delve into the details over some sort of massive data set or customer group, then process and apply that information.
Currently applying to informatics, population health, clinical project management, health analyst, and similar positions, but only occasionally getting interviews (2 out of around 200 resumes, though I freely admit these have been using the shotgun method with little direction).
Thank you for your time and efforts :)
