I tried for a long time to earn a college degree and failed because I couldn’t manage to pass science and math. I have trauma around lack of self worth in my many attempts to pass maths and science. I do not see myself pursuing a career where this is an intensive requirement.
I don’t have a CDL since my job trains employees to drive tractors and park trailers but this is what I do for a living and I love it. It’s part time in the evening so I have time during the day to attend classes if I wanted to. My company will even help with tuition. I love this job, the pay isn’t bad and I have amazing benefits but it is my dream to have a job where I get to travel the world. My grandfather was an engineer who worked on repairing power plant parts. His company sent him all over the world to work at different plants. Back then all he had to do was read books and do on the job training but a job like his now requires higher education.
What jobs/ careers/ trades could someone like me do where I could live my dream of basking myself in culture shock, meeting new people, making friends on different continents and experiencing life in places I’ve never been?? Is this dream of mine futile? I love travel, I’m a tall/ physically strong and confident woman.
