Work history: waitress (college), pharmacy tech, health science teacher/pharmacy tech, pharmacy tech (current)
School: bachelors in medical and health services management, Masters of Science in Health Science Education and Technology, Pharmacy tech certification/registration
The issue: right now I’m at a job I really enjoy (culture, pto, less stress). Also, it’s about $4 less than a teacher makes. In Texas that’s not too bad. The downside is the monotony of having an office like job but it’s also a bit simple. However, I know I’m not utilizing my education to its full potential.
I taught health science in high school for 5 years. I left teaching last year because along with moving to a bigger city, there was 5 subjects to teach instead of 2. Which proved to burn me out. I feel like I would be good at it if given another go around since there have been positive personal developments. What I’m missing from my current job is the interaction with different personalities and seeing them grow and learn. I’m just wondering what else is out there that I’m not thinking of.
There are quite a bit of jobs I can apply to for my masters. Whether it’s in college education, employee training, or educational consulting.
Apply for jobs with my masters, go back to teaching, or stay with pharmacy tech?
