Could someone help give me a little career advice?

So I'm 30 years old and I still have no idea what to do with my life. Feeling lost, clueless and could use a little guidance

Currently I'm in college, going for a major in world history. And while I love what I'm learning, I can't really see how this will get me a good job later in life. Even speaking with my counselor at school it didn't seem he was providing many options for how to turn this into a career

Growing up I always wanted to do something involving movies, music or video games. I've never been so Interested in the process of making these things however that I can view myself making these things. I guess I've always just been more interested in the history of these three mediums, discussing them, and making sure their arts aren't lost to the test of time. As far as I'm aware, there aren't very many career options in the way of that

So lately I've been thinking IT as I do love working on computers and with electronics. But I'm not very versed on how to go about doing this. Some places I've read state that I don't even need a degree really (although it helps) but rather certification in courses that teaches some of these programs, but I'm not sure what to even look for or what to pursue.

Could anyone with any career knowledge in any of these fields lend some expertise? Maybe history is still the way to go? Maybe there's some career options for media history that I haven't even thought of? Or for IT, what should I look at getting certified for?

I guess ideally I'd like a job where I can work alone (from home preferably but I know that's hard to find). I really don't like having to deal with customers or sales or anything like that. Any advice good people of reddit?
