Want to get out of tech
Post Body

I'm hoping I can get some tips and advice on how to move away from the tech industry. For context, it's the only field I've ever been in for 16 years. I started as an IT intern and worked through various tech support type jobs and now I'm in a management role. But I'm not fulfilled by the work I do anymore. I've been burnt out multiple times in many of my jobs and I'm just ready to do something different. I've even tried getting certs and tried going to other tech areas such as software engineering, but I don't find joy in those jobs. I feel like a mindless zombie constantly sitting in front of my computer everyday with endless meetings and escalations.

Right now I'm currently in school getting my Bachelor's in Business (just completed my Associates in IT). I do have some background in Project Management as well. I just don't know how to start over in another field without taking a huge pay cut.

Any advice would be appreciated.
