Should I stay at my current job where I make 88k or should I move to another division, make more money but also have more stress and less support? I think that job would make 105k.
I have a unique set of skills. My current bosses boss let’s call him Bob. Bob knows my skills and wants me to teach my boss let’s call her Shirley.
Shirley isnt used to data and favours another person on the team. That person has received credit for my work and in fact she tried to give him a raise for my work. When she gets stressed she sends condescending emails, but when I speak to her face to face she’s always positive. But since Bob loves me and understands my work I’ve figured out how to work around her. This is the 87k job.
The rest of the company loves what I’m doing and decided to make it part of their long term strategy, but decided that bob is too busy and so another person will leads it. This other person is Jenny. Jenny doesn’t seem to have a good reputation, from what I understand she’s tough to deal with and over promises and under delivers. The job with her is the 105k job. I’ve been told I will eventually roll into this group in 5 years.
Do I go for the new job or stay where I am?
