Like everyone else has been saying, These start decks are probably the perfect way for anyone new and old who are looking to get into Vanguard.

I've seen that you mentioned you're looking to play on a casual level. Then for sure buying singles only from your local game store will be your best bet. The MSRP of Booster Boxes will definitely stick at that 65 CAD pricing, maybe more depending on the store. Another question that is also important. Of the 5 start decks, which one do you see playing the most and the one that you most enjoy? This is what you will need to ask yourself.

I also happen to be in Canada as well and have pre-ordered the start decks plus some booster boxes from 401 games as well so like yourself I can't wait to play again. If you ever need another alternative store to 401 games in case they don't have stock for certain singles. This site would likely be your next best bet. They also happen to be Canadian. :)

Since those start decks are not gonna include rule books most likely, I saw Bushiroad did a video tutorial on how to play the game which I suggest you check out in the meantime.
