Best way to purchase a vehicle without going to dealership?
Post Body

I am buying a new vehicle (cash). Looking at Ford Explorer or something similar. I do not want to deal with salespeople, but would like to shop around. I haven’t bought a car in years so am out of the loop.

What’s the best way to buy and get the best deal? Should I go through a broker? Just look on websites?

TIA

Comments

Just go to the car dealership. I have 10 years in the automotive business and most of the time the customers that come expecting an issue will have some sort of issue (they manifest it into reality). If you go in with an open mind and a positive attitude you'll be fine.

You will end up buying a car with features you don't need or want because you didn't test drive the vehicle you're buying- you're also going to pay more for the vehicle by using a broker.
