Would you rather…

For reference, I generally lease cars and only keep them for three years.
This is really just an opinion question, but would you rather have a car that was say $38,000 and when you add all the extra options and creature comforts that you want, the car is let’s say a $50,000 car. Or… Would you rather get a higher end car that was 50,000 but was more of a base model?
