Should I be concerned about these marks on my new carbon steel pan?

Post Body

Hello! I just got my first carbon steel pan. It is a Mauviel M'steel Frying Pan Steel Handle, 11-in. I noticed that the pan did not come with an insert saying "inspected by" blah like some folks on YouTube show so I am being extra sure it's good to go. I bought it from Kitchen Universe.

Anywho I got the pan and melted the wax off and wiped it repeatedly with a paper towel. I have not yet seasoned it.

I attached pictures of two marks that have me a bit concerned.

First there is like this set of splats on the edge I can't seem to get off.

Splotches of a brown color seen on the side of the pan

Secondly there is a very superficial set of scratches running across the pan... almost like brushed metal. Pretty sure these are fine but just checking.

Small superficial scratches run across the pan

Does this look ready to season?
