Import changing .raf to .jpeg

I'm really struggling to find out why it seems like the import process is converting my .RAF raw pictures into .jpeg. I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I'm on a macbook pro, if that matters. Shooting on a Fujifilm X-T4.
I click "Import", under Import From I click "choose" and navigate to my photos. While choosing pictures here, they still show as .RAF. I choose the photos I'd like to import, click "Review for Import" and when I get back to the main Import Images window, the pictures now show as .JPEG.
