Refurb laptops, any good?
Post Body

For the first time in my adult life i need to invest in a laptop of my own. Until now ive been issued with a company laptop which was swopped out every three to four years and when i was a student i had a tower (remember those lol).

I dont need a lot of processing power for the most part and storage is in the cloud anyways. And i dont want lag, and screen quality is important. Also a sturdy rig is important - so no bendy plastics or fading paint on common touchpoints.

Looking at exactly the same spec Lenovo laptop from work i can get it for 11k (wow thats a lot) on takealot but IT IS REFURBISHED ….is this a dealbreaker? ….will it last me a good number of years? ….what do they do to these laptops during the refurb? ….is it generally recommended?
