Edit::: im not looking for property investment advice, i am sorted, i live alone, i am “ok”. Instead, what the whole post is about, is what is your living situation. Tx.
Im just a bit confused as to how people afford their rent or bond in this city. Recently i thought i should give up my house and find a way smaller apartment to rent and live more simply and just save the difference. Turns out getting a semi decent place to rent in a better neighborhood dont produce that much in savings to make the whole thing worth it long term. No biggy, i know property and rent in this city is expensive, glad i explored it.
BUT HOLD ON, theres more to this… So im also a single and looking to hitch my wagon to another single and live happily ever after! Im mid thirties looking for another mid thirty, professional, nice person. So im dating… to my SURPRISE (also shock and horror!!) most of these singles either have roommates or are LIVING WITH THEIR EXES which i find (pls dont judge) unattractive.
So … im probably needing to understand a few things about capetonians and their living situations or habits of sorts so i can stop being an uninformed and judgmental ignoramus. Pls tell me, how do you afford (or not afford) your home in this city?
