With the April 1st release of RE VII on Stadia, and the synchronous release date of RE VIII on Stadia along with other platforms, the real question is when can we Stadians get some SFV love?
There are currently four fighting games on Stadia, namely Mortal Kombat 11, Samurai Showdown, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2, and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. All 4 of these play superbly with the same input lag or less than I experience on my previous console (PS4). The benefits of playing on Stadia is huge too, as you can use any controller of choice (e.g. Xbox, dualshock 4, switch pro controller, or my personal favorite and what I use, MadCatz TE2), you don't have to worry about netcode and connection issues like character skipping, etc.. since both players connections are on the server itself, and all around it's been an amazing experience. Also, no need to pay to "play online" like with PS/XB.
Two things which I'm sure I'll here en mass, and one bonus closer:
1. I'm not some fighting game noob. I've been playing fighting games almost daily since 1991. Started off playing SF with my brother when we were both kids, and continued playing with him almost daily in our adult life.
- I'm not some Stadia shill. I've been anxiously waiting for Capcom to finally drop some product on Stadia, because although it's the popular thing to shit on Stadia, those who use it know how damn good it is. Capcom has been my favorite game developer since the NES, and continues to be so. I'd love for them to port over their entire library over to Stadia if I could have my way.
Bonus: If you are interested in Stadia, now would be the time to jump in. If you pre-order RE VIII, you get a stadia premiere edition for free (same type of deal they did with Cyberpunk, and it brought in a lot of people).
