This is a thread to vent/talk about the Canucks signings after day ONE and only ONE of free agency!

The Culprits of Free Agency Day One:
Jake DeBrusk - 5.5m AAV x 7 years
Danton Heinen - 2.25m AAV x 2 years
Vincent Desharnais - 2m AAV x 2 years
Kiefer Sherwood - 1.5m AAV x 2 years
Jiri Patera - 775k AAV x 2 years
Derek Forbort - 1.5m AAV x 1 year
Nathan Smith - 775k AAV x 1 year
I think the floor of the team is higher now. The 2 way play should be a strength and hopefully means the defense needs to do less to keep the puck out of our zone. We'll see if the additions live up to expectations and push our ceiling with it.
None of these deals aside from DeBrusk significantly handcuff us anyway. It should be doable for management to eject anyone that doesn't work out.
