I am in the US. I import goods from China and ship to retailers globally.
Recently a Canadian retailer asked for a USMCA certificate to be sent with their order. I explained that our products are China origin and do not qualify for USMCA tax / duties exemption.
They came back and said that that is incorrect and that Chinese origin goods that are imported, sold, and shipped by US companies qualify for USMCA free trade. Can anyone shed some light on this? Google is not being much help here.
