Is a tax consultant worth it?
Post Body
I work with a fairly good, but high-volume, accountant (e.g. they have a lot of clients). I sometimes feel that my situation hasn't been given the attention that it deserves and I do not know whether money is being left on the table from a tax point of view.
I'm wondering whether a tax consultant could be worth their price in reviewing what the accountant has done and whether it would take them a long time to do so; as in, would I be doubling up the work (and cost) in doing this?
I guess I'm failing to see the value of a tax consultant in relation to a good accountant. I would welcome your perspectives.
Also, it would be good to know your opinions on the approximate cost of a tax consultant and the value they generate.
