Timecode Workflow with Canon R5C and Zoom F3

Hi All,
I am just a bit confused about time code workflow and would like clarification.
I am interested in pairing Zoom F3 external Mic with Canon R5C.
My plan is to use Zoom F3 Mic to record audio directly to R5C, which then can output time code to an time code device (such as Sync E) that is linked up with my B-Cam, Canon R6.
Is this how it works?
