Signed a lease to move out and mom diagnosed with breast cancer the day after
Post Body

Hi all. I came here because I don't know where to go to ask.

I found out yesterday that my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. I moved back home about 2 years ago after graduating college and I have been wanting to move closer to work. I finally found a apartment 5 mins from work and i don't know if I should move.

My mom is 47 and relatively healthy. The Dr feels that with treatment they can get a good handle on the cancer and hopefully put it into remission. My sister and my mom's girlfriend live at the house as well.

I honestly feel now, more than ever, that I need my own space because everyone at home will be high strung with emotions, myself included. I will of course be there to check up on my mom, daily if need be, take her to Drs appointments and spend the night when ever she needs me there.

My question is, would I be in the wrong to move? Have any of you been in a situation like this?
