Travelling after cancer treatment

Post Body

So to cut a long story short I was diagnosed with leukaemia 3 years ago and thankfully I am now in remission. I quit my job in February as I wasn’t enjoying it and I thought to myself did I really go through all that just to work in a warehouse? I had a stem cell transplant as my leukaemia was aggressive.

Anyway I was just wondering has anyone else traveled after finishing treatment? I will be travelling solo and I plan to backpack Europe starting off in Germany for the euro tournament hopefully. I know I will need travel insurance that is a must.

But at the same time I’m a little nervous as it’s my first time travelling solo and if anything were to happen to me I would be in a foreign country. So has anyone travelled solo after finishing treatment? Did you take any extra precautions? Are there any companies/travel agents that can help in some way?

TIA. I wish you all the best.
