I'm a 2x survivor and find myself looking at the future from such a different perspective. In particular, prior to my diagnosis, I spent 20 years in a corporate career environment, not enjoying it but ultimately thinking it would lead to future "safety and security". I'm realizing that post-treatment, those words mean something totally different to me. I can't fathom returning to a job where I feel like I'd waste so much of my time and energy in pursuit of something (future comfort) that I now realize isn't guaranteed.
For those who have been in this or a similar boat, how did you navigate the big "post" life changes? What was helpful?
Sending good thoughts to all.
