Greeting, my friendly Canadians! I searched the sub and found a similar post from about 7 months ago, but want to confirm.
About 10 years ago, we parked illegally in Toronto. A lovely meter maid rolled up on us to tell us we were just in front of a no parking sign (how we did not notice this is a mystery). We panicked and started to get back in the car and she stopped us and said "nah, they won't do anything about it anyway". She *did* write the ticket which we placed on the windshield and went on about our day. We have been back countless times since then, so I assume that she was giving accurate information, but it's also been 10 years and I want a reality check.
**I am not planning on parking where I will knowingly get a ticket, but if I do, I want reassurance that it won't create an issue.
