Forget? Youâre the one forgetting. Theyâve been given hundreds of billions of dollars as well as their own land and special rules like tax exemptions. Lots of non-Indigenous are raped and abused and never get those benefits.
Why does âreasserting their cultureâ require tens of billions of dollars towards modern water treatment plants exactly? I donât recall those being available in the 1400s before Columbus
Theyâve paid hundreds of billions to a relatively tiny population. Enough is enough.
Come to the cities if you want the government to supply drinking water. Expecting an expensive water treatment plant in a place where there are no roads is just milking Canadian taxpayers. If they want to live like their ancestors then feel free but that shouldnât include a bunch of modern conveniences being paid for by working Canadians. Weâre spending tens of billions a year. You think any indigenous are paying reparations to the tribes their ancestors conquered? Fuck no lol
I wasnât involved, enough is enough. Just wait until recent immigrants become the majority through this century initiative program. You think some guy from India is going to give a shit about Indigenous funding? Lmao, the tap is going to be turned off the second they have the numbers to swing votes.
The 70s was half a century ago. The vast majority of people related to that stuff are dead.

I feel like the tens of billions weâre doling out every year for a small fraction of the population are probably more important than talking about land acknowledgments. I canât wait to see what happens when the century initiative is achieved and the majority of the country becomes recent immigrants from places like India. You think theyâll give a shit about land acknowledgements and indigenous funding? Lol
