I feel like the tens of billions we’re doling out every year for a small fraction of the population are probably more important than talking about land acknowledgments. I can’t wait to see what happens when the century initiative is achieved and the majority of the country becomes recent immigrants from places like India. You think they’ll give a shit about land acknowledgements and indigenous funding? Lol

Forget? You’re the one forgetting. They’ve been given hundreds of billions of dollars as well as their own land and special rules like tax exemptions. Lots of non-Indigenous are raped and abused and never get those benefits.

Why does “reasserting their culture” require tens of billions of dollars towards modern water treatment plants exactly? I don’t recall those being available in the 1400s before Columbus

They’ve paid hundreds of billions to a relatively tiny population. Enough is enough.

Come to the cities if you want the government to supply drinking water. Expecting an expensive water treatment plant in a place where there are no roads is just milking Canadian taxpayers. If they want to live like their ancestors then feel free but that shouldn’t include a bunch of modern conveniences being paid for by working Canadians. We’re spending tens of billions a year. You think any indigenous are paying reparations to the tribes their ancestors conquered? Fuck no lol

I wasn’t involved, enough is enough. Just wait until recent immigrants become the majority through this century initiative program. You think some guy from India is going to give a shit about Indigenous funding? Lmao, the tap is going to be turned off the second they have the numbers to swing votes.

The 70s was half a century ago. The vast majority of people related to that stuff are dead.
