Texas Camping & crockpots

Post Body

Yes I’m serious.

I love camping and I am going this weekend and I was wandering if I can bring my crockpot. So far all the internet says is it’s fine as long as it’s not bear country... is lake brownwood bear country?

I’ve been going camping with my mom my entire life. My mom passed away two months ago and this was our first summer trip planned.

It will be me and my hundred pound dog in somewhat rainy weather. Mom was always in charge of the fire because as much as I tried I’m just too terrified of flames.

If the crockpot is a no, what are some suggestions for two nights worth of food for one person in rainy weather? (Grill, skillet, etc- no open flame) I’m allergic to eggs, seafood, and beans, so a lot of food ideas are out.

Update: I’m tent camping, in southwest Texas near a lake. The site does have electricity and water... technically it’s an Rv site.

Thank y’all in advance, I know it’s rather specific 😂
