Since PJO is soon hitting the screen in on Disney , I think I need to get this out of the way (I know this is kinda late, but whatever) ...

I don't think the PJO movies are terrible.

Now, they're bad. The 2nd one especially. And I can actually write a list as to why they are so. But hear me out.

The movies do have some qualities I (personally) like:

1.) It got my friends into reading PJO. I know some people on this Reddit got into the fandom through the movies, and then got into the books (don't lie, I'm watching you, lol). My friends were the same way. I recommended constantly that my friends get into PJO through the books, but they didn't listen. Soon as they watched the 1st movie, they immediately tried to snatch my TLT book off of me. I literally had to fight tooth and nail for them to back off.

2.) I preferred Grover more in the movies than in the books. To me, he was more confident and funny in the movies than in the book. While reading, I literally wanted to strangle him through the pages sometimes, because he acted so wimpy cowardly to me sometimes. I get that he was depicted through different stereotypes, but I don't really mind. He was my favourite character in the movie because of that.

3.) It gave me a crush on Alexandra Daddario... nuff said.

4.) It's funny to laugh at/roast. I know this is counter-productive to my own point, but I kinda like them because they're bad, y'know. People have shit movies/shows they watch, and then laugh at their screw-ups
