Help recovering footage from Hi8 tape

Hi everyone, I am working on a project where I am digitizing old Hi8 tapes. I have one that is pretty important as it is a wedding video. Tape plays fine for the first 20 minutes but then goes blank. If I fast forward I can see the footage but when I hit play it just plays blank. Attached is a video of when the video stops playing and what happens when I fast forward. The tape itself doesn't look damaged. Is there any hope of salvaging this tape? Even if I have to pay to send it out for digitizing? Thank you.
