My partner and I live close to Cambridge, we have 2 small dogs and when we travel, we normally leave them in one of the private doggy boarding places in the area. They always seemed happy when we picked them up and I think those places are actually quite good but I would much, much rather if we had someone we could leave them with and then return the favour when you need to travel. Our flat is not big but I work from home (my partner works in an office) and they go out 3 times a day on long walks (sometimes even more- we are surrounded by fields) and spend the entire weekends outdoors. Doggy boarding is also quite expensive (we usually pay around £30 a day for both) so this would also be helpful from that side. We could easily accommodate 2 small dogs or one big dog. Anyway, if you are interested or know anyone who has dogs and travels frequently, drop me a message and we can take it from there. Ideally, we'd meet up, see if our dogs get along, maybe at least organise some play dates if all else fails :)
